Those Waiting
Jenna's Story
Our 18 year old daughter Jenna is waiting for a kidney transplant. She began dialysis in December and it has sustained her life, but it is also very tough to endure. It is quite a challenge for a teenager to struggle with such demanding medical issues. She is O-Positive blood type, which means she has a 4 to 6 year wait on the cadeveric organ list. We hope her father will be a match to donate, but he has had some recent health issues which hopefully will not eliminate his chances. Jenna graduated from high school in June and will start classes at a local city college next week. She loves books and movies and theater arts. I pray she keeps dreaming about the future, and can someday enjoy all the things she deserves to experience.
